Aaron G. Stash (Vice Principal Douglas Panch) Aaron returns to the Big Noise stage after last season's production of I HATE HAMLET. Previous musical roles include Gaston in BEAUTY & THE BEAST, Sparky in FOREVER PLAID, Hysterium in FORUM..., Oscar in SWEET CHARITY and Gabriel in KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN. During the day, Aaron works in advertising for United Airlines where he developed an iPhone game you can play to win free stuff. (Go ahead, download it now at games.united.com while you wait for the show to start. It's free.) Aaron grew up 5 miles from the real Putnam County (Illinois), but sadly never did well in spelling.

Cory Stonebrook (Leaf Coneybear) Cory is very excited to be returning to the Big Noise stage and to be working with Ouroboros Theatre Company for the second time on SPELLING BEE. Cory's past credits with Big Noise and Ouroboros Theatre were Mark Cohen in RENT and Dennis in ALL SHOOK UP, last season. Cory's other Chicago credits include: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR at Theater at the Center, Maxwell Kotch in SEX MARKS THE SPOT at the Theater Building Chicago and Phil in Hangar 9 Theatre Company's BOY'S LIFE. THE CAST

Sarah Halford (Marcy Park) Sarah Halford is a current student at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City studying musical theatre. She took the summer off to live in Chicago and found herself performing on stage for all of you! This is Sarah's first production with Ouroboros and Big Noise, but hopes it won't be her last.

Mario V. Mazzetti (Chip Tolentino) Mario is a recent graduate of Lake Forest College where he studied Theater and English.  Following his performances in RENT and ALL SHOOK UP, he is ecstatic to work for the third time with Big Noise and the second with Ouroboros. Previous credits include Bobby Strong in URINETOWN, Paul in A CHORUS LINE, Frank in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, Giuliano in BIG LOVE, and The Covey inTHE PLOUGH AND THE STARS.  Concurrently with this production, Mario is also working as the Assistant Costume Designer on American Theater Company's production of MAMET REP featuring OLEANNA and SPEED-THE-PLOW. mariomazzetti.com

Chase McCurdy (William Barfée) Chase, originally from Houston, TX, just celebrated his third year since moving to Chicago after achieving his BFA in Theater from The University of Oklahoma.  Recent roles include: Chase in THE BIBLE…ABRIDGED, Ouroboros Theater Co.; Lennie in OF MICE AND MEN, Great Plains Theater Co.; Franz Liebkind in THE PRODUCERS, McLeod Summer Playhouse; Camillo in THE WINTER’S TALE, Chase Park Theater; Bully/Oscar in JOHNNY TEN BONES, Brain Surgeon Theater.

Amy Olsen Nell (Rona Lisa Peretti) Amy is T-H-R-I-L-L-E-D to be working with the cast and crew of Spelling Bee. She has worked in the Chicago area with Porchlight Theatre, Noble Fool Theatricals, Theatre at the Center, Bailiwick Repertory Theatre, The Theatre Building Chicago and Lyric Opera of Chicago.  She has also performed around the country in touring productions, dinner theatre and summer stock. Favorite roles include Woman # 2  in I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE, Narrator  in JOSEPH…, Marty in GREASE, Audrey  in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, Ilona Ritter in SHE LOVES ME and Mary in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. amyolsen.net

Vanessa Marie (Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre)  Vanessa Marie is thrilled to be working with Ouroboros and Big Noise theatre company. She made her acting debut in the Chicago area as Cavale in Sam Shepards COWBOY MOUTH, with Baby Crow Productions. This past May she graduated with a BFA in Acting, and a Minor in Dance from the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico.

Teresa Scalise (Olive Ostrovsky) Teresa is a native of Des Plaines, and did her best to supply this show with the occasional bit of DP-related humor. She holds a B.M. in Musical Theatre from The Catholic University of America. She is happy to be returning to Ouroboros, having appeared in A WINTER’S FEAST in 2007. Teresa has appeared in POSEIDON, AN UPSIDE DOWN MUSICAL with Hell in a Handbag (Girl playing the Air Guitar) and YOU TOOK AWAY MY FLAG AT the Theatre Building (Girl Holding a huge Machine Gun) and numerous variations on children for Emerald City Children’s Theatre and at the Theatre Building (usually without guitars or guns.) Teresa is a founding member of Catalyst, Chicago’s newest cabaret troupe.

Jeremy Sonkin (Mitch Mahoney) Jeremy is thrilled to be making his Chicagoland debut with Big Noise/Ouroboros! Recently, Jeremy had his National Tour debut in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, starring Golden Globe nominee Ted Neeley with Troika Star Entertainment. Other favorites include Mitch Mahoney SPELLING BE, Frankie FOREVER PLAID, Ethan THE FULL MONTY to name a few. Jeremy is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
